Capitola was founded upon a commitment to bring the best of technology and people together to transform specialty insurance.
Insurance is the bedrock of entrepreneurial business activity; in times of peril, companies rely on risk transfer to ensure their longevity. However, the insurance needs of corporations are complex and require guidance from retail agents, who need the expertise of knowledgeable and responsive wholesalers. So we created Capitola as the next-generation specialty brokerage for professional lines of commercial insurance, focused on people and fueled by technology to serve insurance better.
Founded in 2021 in California with its research and development center in Tel Aviv, Capitola is backed by top tier venture capital, all of whom share our dedication to bring increased transparency, cutting edge technologies, and superior service to retail brokers and carriers alike.
Leadership
Sivan Iram is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Capitola. Bringing his unique combination of strategic vision, technical skills and leadership, Iram spent the last decade of his career conceiving and scaling startup ventures focused on delivering innovation and digital transformation to traditional industries. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and BSc in Computer Engineering from Ben-Gurion University.
Naor Rosenberg is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Capitola. Prior to co-founding Capitola, Rosenberg served as the VP R&D at Optibus. Over the past two decades, he has held a variety of leadership positions and played a pivotal role in establishing and mentoring R&D teams. He holds four patents. He has a BSc degree in Computer Science and Economics and a MSc degree in Technology and Information Systems Management from Tel Aviv University.
Amit Ben Nathan is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Capitola. Ben Nathan has spent over 15 years at the center of innovation, business, and cutting-edge technology with positions at Google, Globality, Quixey, and other tech firms. Ben Nathan earned his bachelor’s and MBA degrees with honors from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Jennifer Northenor is the Distribution and Carrier Relations Leader for Capitola. Over the last 30 years Northenor has held various executive level leadership positions at Marsh, Zurich and Crawford & Company among others – spanning across brokerage, insurance carrier and claims adjusting. She holds a BBA and an MBA from the University of Georgia and Emory University, respectively. She also holds CPCU and ARM designations.
